Whats this n64 game called?

there was this game i used to play on N64, i thought it was called DOOM 64 but when i searched it i didnt recognize it. the game started off with a man in this space suite looking thing, you cant go in the water long or you die, you get out of this space ship and you have to kill these giant bugs. You can help people that are in there houses, if they need the help you also drive in cars. I'm hoping to find it again so i can play it. I love video games! hope yall can help.
