1: a wireless access point is what the psp uses to get on the internet, you will need a wireless router connected to your computer/internet

2: again the wireless access point is wireless internet, the psp connects to the internet by the wireless router, a memory card pro duo is a memory card the psp uses, you do NOT need this but your son wont be able to save his games, its recommended that you get one.

3: the WLAN stands for wireless local area network, again it has to do with the internet on the psp, there on the psp there should be three small lights, one for the power, which is green, one for the memory card on the left side of the psp which is orange and the third is also green on the left side as well, that is the WLAN access indicator, you really don't need to know anything about it only that it flashes when your WLAN switch is on and your psp is connected to the internet.

hope i helped email me if you have any questions
